Beef with Broccoli, Cookware Giveaway, Spring Soups and More...

Here's an easy recipe for when you're craving Chinese food but don't want to go out. It's the quintessential Beef with Broccoli: tender strips of steak and crisp broccoli florets in a rich brown ginger and garlic sauce. You don't need a wok -- just a large skillet -- and the ingredients are all easy to find at most supermarkets. Instead of the traditional flank steak, I use a tender flat iron steak. It's a wonderful, albeit lesser known, cut of meat usually sold near the flank and skirt steaks. It's actually the second-most tender cut after the filet -- try it, it makes all the difference!
