Todays review on Truffle Restaurant is by an old friend and prolific restaurant goer, Bahijah Hashim. Always one with high standards for eating out, she wrote a detailed review of her experience. Thank you Bahijah. 

I heard about Truffle Restaurant via a WhatsApp group conversation. Only one person on the group had been and he indicated that the few dishes that he had sampled were all of good quality. So on a stunning day  in Cape Town I was collected for lunch by my stunning husband :). We knew more or less where it was located but we took one or two wrong turns before we found the restaurant. Being located in quite a busy part of town, corner of Hospital and Chiappini Streets, we thought parking would be an issue but we were lucky to find a bay not more than 20 meters from the entrance.
