Combination of simple ingredients develop a flavorful taste in Butter Chicken. This dry masala chicken is a perfect healthy dish to serve in week days or any special occasion. Serve with roti and raita.

Ingredients

  • Chicken ½ kg
  • Butter 3 tbsp
  • Onion 1 medium (chopped)
  • Ginger, garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Yogurt ½ cup
  • Salt ½ tea spoon or to taste
  • Black pepper powder 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder ½ tsp
  • Fresh cream ¼ cup

Cooking Directions

  1. Heat butter in a skillet and stir fry chopped onion until light brown.

  2. Add chicken, fry until color of chicken change. Put on ginger paste, garlic paste and cook about a minute.

  3. Remove from heat and include yogurt; stir, put on heat again. Add salt, black pepper powder and red chili powder. Cover and allow cooking until water evaporates and chicken done.

  4. At the end again remove from heat and add cream, stir and put on heat. Cook about a minute.

  5. Butter chicken is ready to serve.
